mustr docs

Everything mustr does, how to set it up, and how each menu works — written from the actual product, not a sales pitch.

Getting started

What mustr doesA self-hosted community site for gaming orgs: roster, ranks, events, tournaments, training, and a real website, all kept in two-way sync with Discord. Setting it upThe plain-English walkthrough for getting your own copy of mustr running on Cloudflare’s free tier. No coding, about 45 minutes and a domain name. Cost & termsHow mustr runs on Cloudflare’s free tier, what could ever cost money, and how it uses Cloudflare’s products, with a live estimator.

Content

Pages & the layout editorBuild your home page and any custom page by dragging modules onto a grid — no code. NavigationArrange the top menu, group pages under dropdown categories, and role-gate individual links. NewsWrite posts with a rich-text editor, publish to the site and Discord, and control who sees each one. Gallery & imagesHow and why mustr handles images the way it does — R2 storage, edge caching, per-album audiences, and upload limits. TrainingEmbed Google Slides courses, require them per rank, and track who has actually completed them.

People

Roster, ranks & rolesA rank ladder for prestige, capability roles for permissions, and two-way sync with Discord. Applicants & bansHow people apply to join through Discord, and how officers approve, reject, or ban. Medals, war records & gamesDesign awards, hand them out, and track a per-member service history. Org chartA drag-and-drop leadership flowchart that doubles as your public roster. Attendance & leaderboardsCheck-in, participation scores, a GitHub-style activity heatmap, and automatic milestone medals. TournamentsSingle or double elimination, round-robin, or Swiss — for individuals or teams, with live standings and self-registration.

Alliance (cross-org)

Alliance: what it isLink independent mustr instances so events and tournaments cross Discord servers, without sharing a bot or a database. Pairing with an allyHow to actually link two mustr instances: generate an invite, send the connect code, and the ally pastes it once. Shared eventsAnnounce an event once and it posts to every allied org’s Discord, each by their own bot. Shared tournamentsOne org hosts the bracket; allied orgs field their own entrants and follow live standings.

Branding

Theme, skins & appearanceColors, fonts, and six surface styles — set org-wide, or overridden per member. BrandingYour logo, favicon, and site footer — the details that make an install feel like your org, not a template. Sigil ForgeBuild and animate your org’s mark, and it shows up automatically across Discord embeds, loaders, and the login screen. SEO & sharingHow the site describes itself to search engines and to link previews on Discord, X, and elsewhere.

Your account

Your account & accessibilityPersonal, per-device settings: text size, high contrast, and your own appearance override. Game modulesOptional per-game extras an admin can switch on. The first is Star Citizen: a hangar import, CCU planner, and account verification. API accessPlanned for a future release.

Operations

Backups & restoreSnapshot the entire site and restore it in a click if something breaks — owner-only, built in, not a paid add-on. Analytics & usageA live view of how close your install is to Cloudflare’s free-tier ceilings. Audit logWho did what, and why — every promotion, demotion, medal, and negative action, logged with a reason. NotificationsRoute specific events (a new applicant, a ban, a published post) to whichever roles should know about them.

The Discord bot

What the bot can & can’t doA short, least-privilege permission list, why it can never read your messages, and where your data actually lives. Slash commands & integrationsThe full Discord surface: slash commands, interactive buttons, and outbound announcements.

Support & legal

Support mustrmustr is free and stays free. If it saved your org some headaches, a one-time Founder tip is the nicest way to say thanks — entirely optional. Legal & trademark noticemustr is an independent, unofficial community-management tool. Trademark, affiliation, and content notices.
