Notifications
Route specific events (a new applicant, a ban, a published post) to whichever roles should know about them.
Admin → Settings → Notifications has two tabs: your own notification inbox, and the routing rules that decide who gets notified about what.
What can trigger a notification
| Event | Fires when |
|---|---|
| New applicant awaiting approval | Someone signs in and is waiting on a decision. |
| Applicant approved | An applicant was approved and became a full member. |
| Member banned | A member was banned from the site. |
| News published | A news post went live on the feed. |
Routing rules
Each event is routed to zero or more roles — an event with no roles assigned simply never generates a notification. This is how, for example, only officers who approve members see "new applicant" notifications, while everyone with a role that reads news sees "news published."
Your notifications
Notifications you're eligible for (based on your roles) collect in your own inbox, reachable from the bell icon, so you don't have to go looking for what changed.
