Shared tournaments

One org hosts the bracket; allied orgs field their own entrants and follow live standings.

A shared tournament works on a host + subscribers model: one org's bracket is the source of truth (it seeds the field, reports every result, runs the whole thing), while allied orgs field their own entrants into it and watch the results roll in — all over the same alliance connection used for events.

Hosting a shared tournament

1

Create a tournament as usual (Admin → People → Tournaments), and turn on "Share with alliance" on the create form (visible if you hold alliance-management rights).

2

Every allied org's instance gets the offer automatically and can now field entrants (below), while your registration is open.

3

Run the bracket exactly as you would for a purely local tournament — seed, generate, report results.

4

As you generate the bracket and report results, allies automatically receive updated standings and, once it finishes, the champion.

Fielding entrants into an ally's tournament

1

Open Admin → Settings → Alliance and scroll to Shared tournaments — every tournament an ally is currently hosting shows up here, with its format, host org, and status.

2

While registration is open, type a name (a player or team name) and click Enter.

3

Your entrant is submitted to the host's instance and shows in their bracket, tagged "via <your org>," alongside their own members.

4

Watch the standings and champion update on the same panel as the host reports results — no need to visit their site.

5

You can Withdraw an entry any time before registration closes.

What this doesn't do (yet)

These are honest scope limits for the first version, not bugs — full cross-org identity and live bracket mirroring are natural next steps if there's demand for them.
