Tournaments
Single or double elimination, round-robin, or Swiss — for individuals or teams, with live standings and self-registration.
Admin → People → Tournaments creates a bracket for any of four formats, for individual members or full teams, and runs it from creation through a crowned champion.
The four formats
| Format | How it plays |
|---|---|
| Single elimination | One bracket — lose once and you're out. Byes are handled automatically for a non-power-of-two field; an optional third-place match can be added. |
| Double elimination | Winners + losers bracket — you're out after two losses. The two bracket champions meet in a single grand final. |
| Round robin | Everyone plays everyone once; ranked by a standings table. |
| Swiss | A fixed number of rounds, paired by record each round, avoiding rematches where possible; no elimination. |
Running one
Create the tournament — name, format, individual or team, best-of-N match length, an optional entrant cap, and whether the bracket page is public.
Registration opens. Members can self-register (creating or joining a team, if it's a team tournament), or an organizer adds entrants directly.
Generate the bracket. Entrants are seeded randomly, by sign-up order, or manually, and the bracket (or Swiss round one) is built.
Report results as matches finish. Winners auto-advance; for Swiss, generate each next round once the current one is fully reported.
The champion is crowned automatically — the deciding match's winner for elimination formats, or the top of standings for round-robin/Swiss.
Discord integration
Opening a tournament posts an announcement to your configured channel; for individual tournaments, that announcement carries Register/Withdraw buttons, so members can sign up without leaving Discord. When the tournament completes, a champion announcement posts automatically.
Champion medal
Set a champion medal once (Admin → People → Tournaments), and every tournament's winner — every member of a winning team, for team tournaments — is awarded it automatically on completion.
Sharing with allied orgs
An organizer with alliance-management rights can share a tournament with the alliance, letting allied orgs field their own entrants into it. See shared tournaments in the Alliance section for how that works.
